I recently heard a message about treasuring Jesus.  The speaker quoted a prayer by David Brainard, "Lord help me make an impact upon my world that is disproportionate to who I am."  The apostle Paul…Continue

I have been journeying with John in his engagement in fulfilling the SOIL commitment. This led me to look back at the site and notice that it has been inactive for quite some time. I assume we have all been engaged in the current calling God has placed before each one of us. For the past four years Linda and I have been engaged in starting a shelter for runaway/homeless youth in crisis: https://www.yeshelter.org/with a couple of forays to Kenya and…See More

Nate,

This is such a great reminder to keep it simple, persevere and stay focused, expressed so very well.  Keep climbing, keep your eyes on Christ and keep listening to the still small voice of His Spirit.  My son, Luke, who too loves to climb, said to me once that when he was on the mountain, having used up all that God had made him to be in that moment, that he was renewed and restored to come back down and face the challenges of being light in a dark world.  May we each go forth…

Living the Gospel by forgiving

Living the Gospel

A commitment that can transform 2011

The gospel is the good news that in Jesus Christ we have been forgiven. The gospel of Jesus Christ is alive.  It enters our heart and transforms everything about us.  The gospel is a way of life in community.  When we truly understand the depth of love that brought our forgiveness, we relate to others with a new heart.  Forgiveness is a supernatural act.  If you…

How is everything with you, I picked interest on you after going through your short profile and deemed it necessary to write you immediately. I have something very vital to disclose to you, but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site.Could you please get back to me on:(mrsstellaabudheir@gmail.com ) for the full details.

Have a nice day

Thanks God bless.

Stella.

Thanks Gary. Great to connect with you and thanks for reading the study. Putting this study together re-affirmed for me the "pilgrim" nature we have as God's people. I did this study as a lead in to a trend I brought before IC last week regarding the increasing African Diaspora in our Mobilizing regions. I was challenging AIM leadership to think in new paradigms of accomplishing our ends (Christ Centered Church among all Africa's Peoples) and that part of this is more intentionally ministering to the African Diaspora. After we did the Bible Study, Keith shared a story with all of us of the two of you riding a bus in Lesotho. You asked him to check your progress in memorizing 1 Peter.  You shared with him that you were reading it through the lens of a pilgrim. He said how blessed he was and how much he learned through that lens. He also told us that you blew his mind with your flawless recitation!  Way to go!

Song: End of my journey

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwSzJcBogkU&feature=youtube_gdata_playerLoved this song, gives the example of what the cross and message of Christs life. Total surrender to ego, to be resurected to live in and from spirit. Following and surrendering to Christ. To be who we are and what we have come at this time in life to do on the earth. Only through the holy spirit can that be revealed.See More

"Holiness often isn't thought of in that way these days but that is so true. In what ways am I living a life that is different from the general way of the world, a life that is separated from the 'normal' way of living?"
