Jesus followers committed to living holistically
'A sin would mean we did something so bad that God is angry at us'. But since we can not do anything that changes our essential nature, God has nothing to be angry at. Only love is real within us. Nothing else exists, all else is a illusion. ' The Son of God cannot sin. We can make mistakes, ' to be sure, and we obviously do. But Gods attitude toward error is a desire to heal us. Because we ourselves are angry and punishing, we have concocted the idea of an angry, punishing God. We are created in Gods image, however, and not the other way around. As extensions of God, we are ourselves the spirit of compassion, and in our right minds, we do not seek to judge but to heal. We do this through forgiveness.
This is something I read today and wanted share, as it meant to me how powerful our love through gods love can be!
Love is real. It's a internal creation and nothing can destroy it.
Anything that is not is a illusion.
Remember this , and you will be at peice.

Craig. Thanks for the post. Where is this the quote taken from? God is the "Righteous Judge" meaning God's perfect righteousness, justice, mercy and grace collide into a tsunami of love which he demonstrates through Jesus and his perfect sacrifice on the Cross. Sin is real but so is God's loving-kindness. Jesus' perfect sacrifice put sin to death for anyone who chooses him. God's anger towards sin was satisfied by Christ's sacrifice on the Cross. His justice will be made complete at the end of all things when all evil will be destroyed forever and all wrongs made right forever. That is our hope. It says in Isaiah 42 that Jesus will bring justice to victory and in his name the nations will hope.
Yes, we are image bearers of God and if we live in light of our divine image, we manifest the glory of God to the world. Two verses you might find encouraging:
"And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." 2 Cor 3:18
"For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ...and we have this treasure in jars of clay, so that the all surpassing greatness of the power might be of God and not of ourselves." 2 Cor 4:6-7
Yes, let's keep on seeking to have compassion and heal and love, and leave judgement to God alone.
